Tri Rail Modeling - The F40PHL-2
Until a couple years ago, when Mike Bartel at Imperial Hobby Productions released his Tri-Rail F40PHL-2 shell, modeling this unique locomotive was next to impossible. Mike's shell, however, changed that. Other then painting, and mounting the resin shell onto a chassis, a nice replica of the F40PHL-2 could be easily made.

But just imagine this locomotive superdetailed! This is what I chose to do with my shell. Below is the list of parts I used, and on the following pages, how I built the locomotive.
