Tri-Rail Modeling - The F40PHL-2

Here is the F40PHL-2 under construction. The pilots, as you see are black.
The see through vents are also visible.

Another shot. Can't wait to put the Tri-Rail decals on!!!!!

Here it is with the pilots decaled up with Microscale Orange Trim Film #TF-29
with Microscale #TF-1 White trim film cut to size and over the orange film. The pilot is painted Testors Orange #1127 1/4 fl. oz. enamel paint.

The Tri-Rail with it's GP38-2 chassis and customized Athearn Blomberg "M" sideframes. The sideframes and chassis will be discussed in the next section.

The decals should be added now (I had mine custom made). The numberboards can be made with Microscale black trim film and numberboard numbers. The short hood should get some dark gray decal to simulate the no-slip material on it. (805, which was rebuilt in the new scheme, have brand new no-slip pads, so use black no-slip pads for 805). Use green trim film for the walkways. Paint Smokey Valley's stanchions white then add them. Paint the grab irons orange and add them on. Kadee #26 couplers should be added.
